If you want a “wobble head” bear, then it is advisable to use the round head cotter pins.These are freely available in South Africa.
Cotter pins can be used to joint all limbs, however I make use of them for joining the head to the body.
Pliers are used to fold the pins over. The tighter you fold these pins, the more secure the fitting. Cotter pin turners are available, good to have and easier to work with, however pliers will do the same .
