The shop keeps a limited amount of mohair. If a particular mohair is shown on the website and out of stock, I will try and match to the closest that is available. If I have to order in the ” out of stock mohair,” then the order must be paid in full before I place the order. Min order fat 1/4
I have also added Schulte plush- this plush is on a woven backing, however it is not an inexpensive product. The woven backing keeps the fabric stable, without it stretching. Many International artists are making use of plush as the shades are more realistic for when they make realistic animals.
Schulte and Hembold viscose is also another popular fabric that International artists are using for their creations. I have ordered this. Please email if looking for some. The pile is 6mm. White viscose dyes very well. This fabric makes adorable small bears, and other animals. The backing is firm, and will not stretch.
Schulte has had a price increase at the beginning of 2021, and all German post service costs have increased. Mohair is a natural fibre and not an inexpensive item

TIP: When cutting out pattern pieces, make sure you cut out all pieces with the pile going in the right direction. If working with a fabric, that tends to fray, ensure that you seal the edges with either a fabric glue or fray check. I sometimes re enforce the inside of the head with a diluted fabric glue, this will hold the shape when stuffing the head.
