Nothing more rewarding than seeing an owner happy with their restored bear. I no longer provide this service, and am not aware of anyone offering this service in South Africa.
Restoration, takes many hours of work. One has to be extremely careful as yo are working with old fabric, which can easily tear. You cannot “purchase” the same fabric, and one must age the fabric to get the best match.
In many cases the filling has rotted over the years or disintegrated.
One cannot recover a bear, as you would a cushion cover.
